The purpose of this essay was to examine teenager's views on violence among Young people.Our main questions were: What kind of views on violence among Young people do teenager's have? What do teenager's think about what causes violence among Young people? In what way does scientific knowledge confirm Young people's views about what causes violence among Young people?To answer these questions we designed a questionnaire which we distributed in three 8th grade classes. We also interviewed five teenagers about violence among Young people, to get a deeper knowledge about their views.The results of this study show that the teenagers think that violence among Young people has increased and that the violence mostly appears between different groups of Young people. The conclusion of this is that the Swedish municipalities have problems to engage Young people in politics.The purpose of this essay is to study and try to find out what Young people think about politics? This is done with personally interviews with 7 young municipality politicians from the municipality of Eda.The specific research questions are:? Who are they which became young municipality politicians?? What was the reason that they became politicians?? How do they look at municipality politics?? Which roll and function does the Young people have as a municipality politician?? What do they think should be done to get more Young people to engaged in politics and become a municipality politician?The young Eda politician is a girl living in a house in the country and she has middle education.

The purpose of this essay was to examine the role of religious beliefs, actions and practice in Young people's own description of their identity. An additional goal was to examine how Young people describe their identity in relation to their primary and secondary socialization. A qualitative method was used with semi - structured interviews and six Young people between the ages of 18 and 23 were interviewed.            The interview results show that three out of the six Young people think of themselves as religious while the remaining three emphasize that they are secularized Muslims. The results also show that the Young people emphasize that the celebration of feasts in the family is the main focus.  Four out of the six Young people point out that they are themselves among friends, their families and in the mosque, while the remaining two feel a communion with their Muslim friends and people in the mosque.       Three out of the six Young people consume alcohol and eat pork, while the remaining three refrain from this. The Young people emphasize that their beliefs are a personal matter between themselves and God, and that their actions don't define them as being Muslims or non-Muslims..

The aim of this thesis is to explore how librarians approach to and knowledge of Young people can be seen in their work methods and in activities arranged for Young people. I also want to investigate other factors that librarians think can affect how they work. Five interviews were carried out with five librarians who worked with Young people at public libraries. The literature review covers; Young peoples needs and leisure activities, Young peoples attitudes to libraries, activities arranged for them and towards departments for Young people at public libraries. Literature dealing with librarians` attitudes and knowledge of Young people was also included.

This Master?s thesis concerns the question why a public library establishes a special room for Young people and how the Young people can influence the activities. I have made interviews with two librarians and four teenagers from a reference group. I have also made an observation of the room. The most important theories are Pierre Bourdieu?stheory of symbolic capital and Mats Lieberg?s theory of free zones.

The purpose of our study was to examine 13 to 14 year olds experience of bullying from a perspective of human developmental ecological systems. The questions at issue were: How do the Young people themselves define the concept of bullying? Which own experiences do the Young people have of bullying? How come bullying exists according to the Young people? How do the Young people experience that their surroundings view bullying? What do the Young people consider that you can do about bullying? We used a qualitative method to collect and handle our primary empirical data. We did individual interviews with ten Young people.The results of our study shows that the majority of the persons interviewed thought people bully because they have bad home conditions and that they are unsure of them selves. Many of the Young people talked about three different groups in a school class: The popular, the less popular and the nerds.

The aim of this master thesis is to find out if Young people and librarians think that reference groups can support public libraries to meet the needs of Young people, and if the reference groups, which the librarians describe, differentiates from the Young peoples requirements. I have made a qualitative study with a questionnaire to six librarians who have experience from reference groups and ten interviews with teenagers. The result showed that Young people have many interests and needs which can be met from the library. The teenagers were positive to the library and many of them showed interest in having more influence on the library. Many would like to join a reference group, but on the condition that they would be offered real influence.

The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze Young people´s views on youth crime and segregation in ?multicultural? suburb Hammarkullen in Gothenburg, Sweden.We especially want to point out their views on the relationship between segregation and youth crime as the underlying risk factor for criminality.Through group- and individual interviews with Young people, we have tried to address the following issues:? What do Young people in the suburb think of segregation?? What are the views of Young people in Hammarkullen about youth crimes?? How do Young people in the suburbs view the relationship between segregation and youth crime?To achieve our objective and to answer our questions, we have chosen to have a qualitative approach.Since the purpose of the essay is to get an idea of how the suburban youth are looking at segregation, crime and the relationship between them, we believe that the qualitative approach is the right tool to use for this study.The empirical material consists of three interviews, one group-and two individual interviews, with 11 Young people at the age of 16-18, conducted over a period of four weeks.In the results we will present how Young people look at suburban segregation, crime and the connection between them..

The purpose of this study was to examine the media?s portrayal of Young people that gamble with money. Young in this study refers to people in the age 13 to 30. The following questions were examined: How does the press, in this case three newspapers, portray Young people who gamble with money? What discourses in the selected newspapers, regarding Young people who gamble with money, are the most prominent?The method used in this study was Faircloughs three dimensional model for critical discourse analysis which was used together with a social constructionist point of view.

This master thesis in library- and information science is about the intermediary function of the library room from an environment-psychological point of view. Young people are a group in society who often reduce their visits to the library when growing up. There are lots of reasons for this maybe more attractive activities occur outside the library doors, making the young choose not to use the library. But if the library interior is attractive in itself, and has a welcoming atmosphere, there might be a change and the Young people may well choose to pay the library a visit. What is important to Young people how do they want their library room to look? Our purpose is to see how the physical environment affects Young people in libraries.

Abstract: The aim of this study was to examine how the sexuality of Young people with intellectual disability (ID) are constructed, based on how school counselors describe the situatuation of these youths and based on how the counselors describe their role in giving advice and discussing sex and relationships. The empirical data were collected through semi-structured interviewes with seven scool counselors and one consultant. The material was analyzed on the basis of theories about sexual script, stigma and social constructivism. The results showed that school counselors saw the Young people with ID as a vulnerable group and as a group worthy of protection. Most of them had a picture of young girls as more vulnerable than young boys.

The municipality of Kalmar have a problem, how to reach and communicate with Young people in Kalmar. In today?s changing media environment it gets more difficult to stand out and reach audience with messages and especially with the new forms of media that has revealed. Therefore, we have been commissioned to develop recommendations on how the municipality of Kalmar can communicate with Young people in Kalmar.  The purpose with this study is to investigate which media channels Young people in Kalmar use and their attitudes towards social media in particular. We wanted to find out how the municipality should communicate to reach them and what attitude youths have against the municipality in general.

The aim of this thesis is to investigate the attitudes of librarians towards Young people's approaches to libraries and reading. The study also includes statements of the young as regards their own library usages and reading habits, as well as the attitudes of youth leaders. The latter are compared to the statements of librarians, and serve as referential frameworks. 28 interviews were performed, of which 22 with Young people. The interviews and the following discussion were based on five themes; the library as a room, usages of the library, reading habits, the library as an institution, and library changes and developments.

In the end of the last century the interest for youth politics increased in Sweden. The causes for the increased interest were the more obvious youth politics questions and problems, for example the increased youth unemployment. In 1998 the government wrote down national goals and instructions for the youth politic work in a government bill (1998/99:115). This government bill describes how the youth politic work should be carried at a local level in the municipality.The purpose with this study is to investigate Young people, in Värnamo kommun, view of their own situation. The study´s focus lies om three main concept; democracy, justice and faith in the future.

Social support is important for adults well-being, quality of life and self-esteem. The nurse should respond to the patient's care needs, knowledge of social support for Young people with chronic diseases is therefore important. The purpose was to investigate who or which ones provide social support for Young people with chronic diseases and what social support contributes to. A descriptiv design where used.
